Gathering research that is usable and reliable is a tedious task. Creating an annotated bibliography makes it easy for one to study and evaluate the materials you are gathering. This assignment was helpful not only for this class, but came in use later when I started to gather my research for my literature review. I was able to quickly evaluate whether and article would be useful for my research and where it fit with other pieces of research.

Evaluation Plan: Video Game Integration
Integrating video games into the classroom is not a new concept. However, the concept is still fairly unique in the research world. Collecting data when using video games to teach is essential for providing proof of it's effectiveness. The evaluation plan I created for Program Evaluation was helpful for me to think about the different ways I would collect data in the future when studying the effects that video games have on the classroom.

Case Study: Instructional GamingThe purpose of qualitative research is to gain a deeper cognitive understanding of a specific theory, organization or event. It is not a basic or numeric description of a large sample of a population. Case studies are a popular use of this research method. I enjoy reading case studies, so for this project, I created one that involved instructional gaming. It was a change from quantitative methods, but I was able to see where this technique would be useful in situations where instructional gaming was being used.
