Lesson Plan: Cyber Bullying
This presentation was beneficial to me for a variety of reasons. Since I am working in Higher Education, I tend to not think about the differences instructors face in the K-12 environment. I was able to realize the diverseness in population and how cyber-bullying effects each student differently. There is not one overall solution, either. Each situation is different and must be handled swiftly, but with care.

Presentation: Schooling in the United States
The United States contains a variety of learners. Different cultures learn in different ways, and we as educators must adapt. This presentation talks about the unique aspects of teaching in United States. When I was teaching in the city, it was normal to have many different cultures within my classroom. I would have to keep different communication styles and expectations in mind when creating my lessons. This presentation overviews what it's like to be an educator in the United States.

Presentation: Culture and Poverty
Unfortunately, even in the United States, there are children who go without the bare necessities, such as clean clothing and regular meals. This can dramatically effect their learning. My children attend a school where there is free breakfast available to all, as well as reduced/free lunches. However, not all schools are able to offer programs to assist needy children. This presentation discusses the importance of recognizing culture and poverty in the classroom and how instructors can facilitate learning despite these issues/
