Research: Applying TPACK to Science Education
Not only did I complete extensive research with this project, I also evaluated the effectiveness of different technologies in the Science environment. I am not a Science major, so I had to first learn about the differences in classroom techniques before I could evaluate the technologies needed. It was helpful to complete this project in a topic that I was not that familiar with, because it taught me how to assess environments as well as evaluate the individual needs of topics that I am not proficient in.

GDIT 705 Courseware Design
Research: Annotated Bibliography
Courseware Design was one of the first classes I took when I started at Duquesne. One of the requirements of the class was to create an annotated bibliography of research documents that were relevant to our studies. Creating an annotated bibliography means that you must read and evaluate the reading while assessing it's contents. This was a great exercise that would later prepare me for my Literature Review for my Dissertation.

Instructional Video Games: Overcoming Usability Barriers in the Classroom

This was an exciting presentation for me since it was my first peer reviewed conference. A section of this presentation evaluated and assessed different video games and their uses in the classroom. Overcoming barriers, such as fear to use new technologies, were also discussed. A copy of my PowerPoint presentation is attached below.
