Interpersonal Communications
When I was given this class to teach, I was only provided with a bare bones syllabus. I was given permission to make instructional judgement as I saw fit, so I created a schedule complete with assignments and assessments appropriate for the level of learning required. I love to create lesson plans, and this was an enjoyable class for me to organize.

Advanced Microcomputer Applications
This class was a new class when I was assigned it, and once again, I only received a basic syllabus. I am very familiar with Microsoft Office Suite, so it was easy to use the book and materials to create learning modules for the students. I had to adapt some of the lessons in order to catch up learners who were not so familiar with programs such as Excel and Access. It was interesting to see the difference in skill level when it came to formulas and databases. I had to choose my lessons wisely so that I didn't leave anyone behind (but I was also able to challenge more proficient users)

GEN 201 Communications
This was a class that not only was I able to create from scratch, but I was given the opportunity to select an appropriate book as well. Selecting a book to meet core standards and objectives is difficult; one must be able to evaluate the book for effectiveness and compatibility. I learned a lot creating this class, and I enjoyed teaching it even more because of the freedom I was given as an instructor.
